Arts and Transition

Our arts and transition programme which has a focus on transition from primary to secondary school: primary school pupils from across the Stirling schools will be nominated to work in a small group in their new high school.

This project takes place in all seven high schools and within the ASN unit Ochil House

The selected P7’s attend from their primary to high school, visiting their future high school for an art based project once a week for seven weeks for sessions with professional artists.

Every year a theme is chosen for the Transition programme and all 8 projects culminate in a shared event.

This year the theme was based around Blue Plaques, the commemorative scheme. Young people were invited to create their own interpretation of a plaque for themselves or someone else.

An exhibition of the work created through this programme is on display in the Tolbooth Gallery, Jail Wynd, Stirling, FK8 1DE, UK
