Participants in the workshops are welcome to engage with the activities presented, or let their inner artists be their guide!

Why is this happening?

MSc Psychology student Catherine Watson, who graduated from the Nursing (Mental Health) BA (Hons) programme in 2022, has created this project in collaboration with Artlink Central to provide Student Nurses with an opportunity to express themselves and improve their wellbeing through the arts. Catherine understands the unique experiences of Student Nurses and aims to create a supportive environment for them to explore their experiences and communicate them with others through a digital or physical exhibition of their works.

While workshops are aimed to and designed for student nurses, as part of the University of Stirling's Mental Health Awareness Week, we will open up this project to include University faculty in the workshop on the 18th May. University staff of all areas, and Student Nurses, are invited to attend the 2-hour drop-in workshop providing arts-based exercises for relaxation, reflection, and respite, led by local artist Orla Stevens.

How to Participate:

If you're interested in participating in the workshops or even just exploring the Self-Led Resource Pack, please send an email to Catherine at NHSplacement@artlinkcentral.org to register. Don't miss this chance to bond, relax, and express yourself through creativity!
